Statement of Faith
We, the local churches / Christian organizations participating in the
ongoing Push for Peace efforts including the 40 Days of Prayer, are a
united body of Christ. We are believers in the one Father, the one
Faith, and the one Following – the path and lifestyle set by Jesus
Christ, who is both our Lord and Savior.
Though we are of different practices, we worship and serve as one
family, celebrating the Lord who is above all, in all, and through all –
the Creator and Sustainer of all things holy and righteous.
We are guided by the inspired Word of God – the Bible – which is
the inerrant word of God and that becomes the authority for us, the Body
of Christ.
We, this
united body, humbly honor the Father in our participation in weekly
prayer assemblies and the 40 Days of Prayer by lifting His name in
praise for the mighty works He has performed and by bowing in prayer in
a united call for His continued presence in our fair city of Peoria, and
the surrounding areas.
We come together, not seeking to further our own agenda, but through the
spirit of humility and unity to seek God through prayer for the central
Illinois area.
